What a driveway replacement includes
- Tear out and haul away. We break up and remove the old driveway.
- Fix the subgrade. Most driveways need some of the soil under the old slab removed and replaced with crushed gravel or recycled concrete, which we compact thoroughly so the new slab moves as little as possible.
- Form and reinforce. We set forms to the right slope for drainage and add reinforcement.
- Pour and finish. We pour a quality mix, typically 4,500 PSI with micro fiber for added strength, and give it a broom finish for traction.
- Cut control joints. Joints are placed so that any cracking follows a clean, planned line.
